14 Night Cruise sailing from Southampton roundtrip aboard Queen Victoria.
QUEEN VICTORIA captivates with her graceful splendour and a luxurious ambience so evocative of great liners past. With luxurious marbles, woods and rich fabrics she exudes elegance.
Warmly reminiscent of a more gracious era, modern technology combines seamlessly with her classic yet contemporary interior. Crafted to exude elegance with intricate mosaics, gleaming chandeliers and luxuriant marbles. Crafted too, for sublime comfort with plush carpets, rich fabrics and soft furnishings.
Highlights of this cruise:
The United Kingdom's premier passenger ship port, Southampton was home to the great transatlantic liners of yesteryear. The port serves as your gateway to Southern England’s magnificent historic sites, national landmarks, charming villages as well as the great metropolis of London. Southampton is the ideal starting or ending point for a memorable voyage.
Gibraltar is perhaps best known for The Rock – a giant limestone ridge rising to a huge 426 feet, with sheer drops on the northern and eastern sides. Following suit, much of the landscape of Gibraltar is rural, diverse, and well worth an afternoon of exploring.
Ajaccio offers the chance to retrace the renowned footsteps of Napoleon Bonaparte. Visiting the house where he was born, brimming with Bonaparte family documents and portraits, you can ponder the journey that made him one of Europe’s most feared and notorious leaders. Admire Tino Rossi harbour- a postcard scene of pastel façades, brightly painted fishing boats and rustling palms- named after the local tenor and film star.
Historic, mysterious and romantic, the Spanish city of Cadiz is unique. It is generally considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Europe founded in around 1100 BC. An ancient port city in southwest Spain, almost completely surrounded by water, it contains enough history to enchant and intrigue you throughout your Cadiz cruise.
You will find a complex warren of streets, bustling bars and pretty beaches; it is difficult to know what to do or where to go first. Packed with historic sites, monuments and an excellent museum of art and archaeology, Cadiz is a draw for history buffs and those attracted by the arts.
Delve into the art collections of the Picasso Museum or Miró Foundation. Explore the genius of Gaudí's architecture too, as you survey the city from Parc Güell, witness the extraordinary buildings of Casa Mila and Casa Batlló, and marvel at his unfinished masterpiece, the cathedral, Sagrada Familia. Post-sightseeing, a shady spot in one of Barcelona’s numerous cafés provides a wonderful vantage point for watching colourful street performers on Las Ramblas.
